Yesterday was my birthday (and Barrett's 9 month birthday)! Yay me! I'm finally 30! Thank you to all my family and friends that called/emailed/IM'd to wish me a happy birthday! It was a milestone and I've now joined the 30 crowd with my husband and most of my friends (still waiting on a few - Jen, Leslie). I've never cared too much about getting older but I thought 30 might be hard. I have to admit that it is much easier than I thought it would be. It must be because my friends showed me how easy it was. :)
Now on to Barrett news, since I know that's what most of you care about!! He had his 9 month checkup today. He weighs 19 lbs, 3 oz. He is in the 30th percentile for weight, 70th for height, and 90th for head size. He had his toe pricked to test his iron levels. Apparently breastfed babies are at a higher risk for iron deficiency. However, Barrett's levels were totally normal. It must be all that beef casserole and braised beef we feed him! Dr. Blair said Barrett can start eating off our plates more now which will be fun. Last night he had a little taste of the Great Wall of Chocolate at PF Chang's for my birthday dinner. :) He liked it....definitely gets that from his Mom. I'll post pics of it when I get them uploaded.
